Celebrities against Coronavirus: These Corporate, Bollywood giants donated huge amount to PM CARES fund

India is determined to fight this pandemic and the public along with the government is doing whatever they can to fight this.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a fund to fight Corona Virus and has urged to citizens of India to donate in their capacity.

This list contains a list of 15 Indian Celebrities, who have donated a huge amount to the PM CARES fund. Let's see Who donated, How much.

1. Ratan Tata - (Chairman) Tata Trusts

Ratan Tata who is currently the Chairman of Tata Trusts recently became a trend, after it was announced that his trust will donate ₹500 crores. This is not the first time, that Tata Trusts has donated for the betterment of society.

2. Mukesh Ambani - (Chairman & MD) Reliance Industries

India's richest person Mukesh Ambani recently donated ₹500 crores to PM CARES fund under the umbrella of Reliance Industries. Earlier he made a 100-bed hospital for Corona patients. 

3. Gautam Adani - (Adani Foundation)

Gautam Adani who is leading Adani Foundation has pledged to donate ₹100 crores for the fight against Corona. This fund will be donated to the PM CARES fund.

4. Sajjan Jindal - (Founder & Chairman) JSW Group

Sajjan Jindal

Sajjan Jindal who is leading one of India's biggest conglomerate JSW Group pledged to donate ₹100 crores for the fight against this virus pandemic. This group has also donated healthcare equipment and its employees will also donate their one day salary.

5. TVS Motor Company

TVS Motors

India's automobile manufacturer TVS Motor Company has extended its arm to donate ₹25 crores to the fight against Coronavirus. 

6. Anand Mahindra - Mahindra & Mahindra Group

Anand Mahindra recently announced that Mahindra resorts will be used for the medical facilities and care center for Corona patients.

7.Sanjiv Puri - (Chairman) ITC 

Sanjiv Puri

Sanjiv Puri led ITC recently announced that they will donate ₹150 crores to the PM CARES fund.

8. Uday Kotak - (MD) Kotak Mahindra Bank

Uday Kotak

Uday Kotak has announced that his group will donate ₹60 crores for the fight against Covid-19.

Railways donated ₹151 crores to PM CARES fund.

Central Armed Police Forces also donated a total of ₹116 crores for the fight against this pandemic.

Akshay Kumar has donated a huge amount of ₹25 crores to the PM CARES fund. This is not the first time that he has come forward to help his nation.

Comedian Kapil Sharma donated ₹50 lakhs for the fight against this pandemic.

3. Rajnikanth

Actor Rajnikanth donated a total of ₹50 lakhs for daily wage workers of the South film industry. 

4. Prabhas

Prabhas

Known for his film series Bahubali, actor Prabhas donated a total amount of ₹4 crores for the fight against Pandemic. Of these 4 crores, 2 crores will go to the PM CARES fund and 50-50 lakhs will be donated to Telangana and Andhrapradesh government.

Bhushan Kumar who is the owner of T-series will donate ₹11 crores for the PM CARES fund.

Actor Varun Dhawan has pledged a total of ₹55 lakhs for fight against Corona. Of these 55 lakhs, 30 lakhs will go to PM CARES fund and 25 lakhs will be donated to Maharashtra CM funds.

Actor Hrithik Roshan has helped Maharashtra and BMC with a monetary of ₹20 lakhs.

Shilpa Shetty & Raj Kundra

Actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have donated an amount of  ₹21 lakhs to PM CARES.

Actor and TV host Manish Paul has pledged ₹20 lakhs for fight against Corona to PM CARES fund.
